Manage Your Art Career
Teaching Artists to Create Success
Putting you in charge of your art career... we provide guidance & support, but You decide how to use the tools and techniques to meet your art marketing goals.
Most successful professional artists have a plan for promoting and marketing their art.
Doesn't it make sense for you to do the same; shouldn't you be the one in charge of your art career?
Our goal is to empower you to reach for your goals. Our methodology comprises assessment, support, lessons in planning, and guidance in the use of marketing tools & action techniques.
Create your own success! Think like a professional. Make a plan outlining what you want to do, how you want to do it, and when you want to do each step. You can call it a SUCCESS PLAN; we call it an ART MARKETING PLAN.
We select only a limited number of artists to work with each year. We first evaluate your art, to determine if it is suitable for any of our programs, then we assess your responses to our Artist's Readiness Test (ART) to assure that you have the mind-set and ambition to stick with the program.
To get started, submit your art for evaluation and then complete the Artist's Readiness Test.
If you qualify, we will teach you how to:
- develop a career plan setting forth your Mission and Vision
- set goals designed to exploit the unique qualities your art
- create and use effective art marketing tools, based upon branding techniques emphasizing your special attributes ...what Tom Peters* designates as "the brand called 'You'".
*Tom Peters is the author of "In Search of Excellence", "Thriving on Chaos" and others. But NOT "Peter Principle", which was coined by Dr. Peter Drucker
Once the basics are in place, we support and guide you in the use of marketing tools & action techniques.
I'm an artist, I MAKE art, I don't know anything about selling it!
Marketing is not sales. Marketing is simply telling people about something that has value. Sales are the result of good marketing.
Marketing your art can be done by sharing your enthusiasm about what you have created with potential customers and letting them decide how your art can be of benefit to them. For example, they might use your art to add value to a product (such as a coffee cup or teeshirt), or they might use your art to become a product (such as an art print or puzzle). Both of these examples are based upon LICENSING the use of your art.
Together, we will work to develop a time-phased marketing plan including specific, measurable, and realistic goals & objectives.
But first, we must assess your art for "marketability" and review your answers to our Artist's Questionnaire.
If you qualify, we will help you develop an internet-based fine art licensing program designed to exploit the unique qualities your art.
